“How can we get people to support a gala that has no food, fancy clothes, or venue?”

Ottawa Food Bank: Brand Voice

The Ottawa Food Bank holds an annual Non-Gala Gala. Instead of putting on an event where everybody dresses up and has a fancy dinner, they ask people to donate to the Food Bank, with more money going to help feed those in need. Because there is no actual event, there would be no need for chefs, and therefore they would be doing something else that night. We took an unconventional approach to a serious subject by using humour as a way to grab people’s attention and reach a younger audience.
